It is always fun to see how my "Bescal" calligraphy font for Smock Paper will be used. 

This cherry red and gold Save the Date with the Bescal font and polka dots is certainly my idea of wonderful.

Aimee O'Boyle's elegant Istanbul Lace wedding invitation is dreamy and I was thrilled to be asked to contribute my "Maura" calligraphy to her design.

custom cascade

"Cascade" is one of the wedding invitation designs I created for Bella Figura in 2012.

Being "flowery" does not come easily to me in my work. "Cascade" is about as "florid" as I get and that is why it is one of my favorites.

This custom "Cascade" invitation looks ultra modern with my calligraphy shown in a pretty spring green.

New England bride Kathleen Johnston ordered her letterpressed wedding invitations through Bella Figura and commissioned designsgirl to create the calligraphy for her custom design. 

Kathleen chose the "Bescal" style of calligraphy for her invitation, response card and envelope flap.

I had the pleasure to work with Colorado bride-to-be Kiirsten Brooks of Grand Junction who hired designsgirl to do custom calligraphy for her wedding set of invitation, response card and envelope.

The flourish was hand drawn with my calligraphy nib and served as a motif for the suite.

interlude: wedding bells will be ringing

When designing wedding invitations for Bella Figura, we designers create many pieces- from coasters to save the date announcements and postage stamps.

Here, I created a special envelope flap for the "Typology" design so the recipient would know what to anticipate inside.
