preview: "hello love" summer wedding invitations

Here are three new "hello love" wedding designs coming this summer.

The top is "Clementine", named for Clementine Hunter, renowned Louisiana folk artist. This design, with a folk art emblem in rich fall colors and fabulous typefaces, makes for the perfect autumnal invitation.

The middle one is "Billet Doux" or "Love Letter" and features a modern design with bold brush lettering and stimulating pops of color.

The bottom one is "Heart Tree", featuring heart-filled tree branches and a sweet basketweave trim.

These invitations and other coordinating pieces will be available at the "hello love" shop in June.

One of my favorite wedding magazines, "Weddings Unveiled", is a dreamy magazine from cover to cover.

designsgirl was thrilled to see that today its blog featured her "hello love" shop.

door pull hunting

I now have a legitimate reason for antique shopping, flea market scavenging, and retail reconnaisance.  It is a job requirement to find the prettiest door pulls for my new "hello love" rubber stamp handles. I knew this was an idea lit with brilliance.

I read about interior designers such as Albert Pinto and Kelly Wearstler who travel the world in search of the perfect china or an exotic fabric. What a great job to hunt for beautiful objects.

On a more pedestrian level, I am a globetrotting huntress of door pulls and the thrill of the hunt is really fun.

This dainty "hello love" invitation suite is filled with mood-enhancing cerulean blue, delicate white daisies and a fabulous typeface.

All of the "hello love" invitations can be used for more than just weddings- for debuts, parties and any celebration.

With a room full of wood blocks in a variety of sizes, etched rubber and drawers full of decorative door pulls,  the new "hello love" rubber stamps are ready for their closeup.

This one is for my friend Hillary who stopped by the "hello love" studio  for a look and picked the handle she wanted. Five new handles will be introduced each month.

preview: "hello love" special collection rubber stamps

A vision is now a reality- rubber stamps that are a work of art in their design as well as in the art they display.

Assembled in our home with my husband's craftsmanship (he is a willing contributor if he gets to play with his power tools), these rubber stamps feature "hello love" designs on quality Michigan maple wood mounts, the finest etched rubber in the industry and finished with an unique decorative door pull from my favorite shops and antique markets.

Each rubber stamp has an unique handle; all are packaged for individual or retail sale and most designs correspond to a "hello love" product such as a matching wrapping paper, notecard set, or invitation suite.

The first rubber stamp- "Belle Bleu"- will be available for sale at "hello love" starting March 27.

Look for new designs coming throughout the year.

no. 10: "bettencourt" wedding invitation

New for the spring season is a "hello love" wedding invitation collection called "Bettencourt".

This design features a beautiful soft blue, almost a Tiffany blue, with a few simple embellishments and an interesting all cap typeface. Seen here are the invitation, response card and monogram.

As with all of the designs, they can be used for any kind of invitation - from debut announcements, special events and parties.

It is now available at "hello love".

"how do i love thee"

One of my favorite projects was for a client whose husband traveled frequently. She purchased several blank Crane's notecard sets and asked me to design (40) different cards with the words "I Love You" so that she could place them in his suitcase each time he was away.

It was so much fun. I used everything in my artist toolbox including gold leaf, Pitt brushes, music pens, paint and calligraphy. This project inspired the "Love Notes" now featured in the "hello love" shop including this "How Do I Thee" card with red envelope.

no. 9: "gossamer"

I wanted to create a wedding invitation for my "hello love" collection with an abstract "sketch" of the butterfly- a symbol of love and the celebration of the soul.

This design is done in creamy neutral colors with an interesting typeface and comes with a matching Save the Date and reply card.
