paperswell issue no. 3 sneak peak

desigsngirl is beaming with pride to tell you about the next issue of our paperswell magazine.

This spring 2014 edition is entitled "Flowers/Ladies/Art" and features over a dozen of the most talented ladies across the globe (book makers, illustrators, shop owners, ballerinas, letterpress lovelies, event planners, photographers and painters.) who contribute their favorite flower-themed works.

The lone gentleman among these swell ladies- San Diego painter Harrison Howard - allows us to present some of his latest enchanting "Flower Ladies" paintings as seen in Town & Country and Veranda magazines.

Mia Semington, owner of Two Hands Paperie in Boulder (who is one of our artists) will be hosting a paperswell launch party in March at her Pearl Street store location and we hope those of you in the Denver area will be able to join us.

superheroes I have had the blessing of both a father and a husband as my superheroes. They are the most exquisite examples of fine men- both toughminded but tenderhearted; genuine; kind; brilliant and spilling over with character exemplified in their actions. The example of my father certainly ensured that I would marry a similar make. Today, I celebrate my 7th wedding anniversary with my superhero affectionately know as "Lamb Chops". What delight to live with a superhero and marvel at his fineness everyday.

restylesource A year's worth of dream assignments awaits designsgirl as she begins her role as a lifestyle contributor for REstyleSOURCE. This fabulous online design center has put a beautiful new face on the "typical" city guide as it connects buyers with the most fabulous design sources and shops across the country, encouraging the practice of shopping "local". One of designsgirl's first submissions this fall will be a DIY project with Transfer Artist Paper (TAP)- an 8th wonder of the paper goods world and whose discovery I attribute to my funky mixed media artist mother.
