interlude: "ribbon: the art of adornment"

Nicholas Kniel is a ribbon master and his sumptuous book "Ribbon: The Art of Adornment" is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen.

calligraphy at play no. 1 designsgirl likes to experiment when hand lettering to see how different inks and nibs respond to different papers. Normally, the higher the quality of paper, the more fluid and crisper the lettering will be. Here, I embellished an envelope with a simple flower drawn with a Zig pen and Pitt brushes and used an opera pink gouache for the lettering.
