interlude: "the artist among us"

We have an avuncular relationship with Lou Denigris, expert builder/general contractor, who has been with us on two house remodeling projects over the past 4 years. Behind the rugged exterior of Texas-sized cowboy hat, hardy mustache, rodeo belt buckle and boots, lies the heart of an extraordinary oil painter.

My husband and I only learned of Lou's passion for painting recently when Lou came to our home for dinner. His talent is extraordinary and his bearing humble. His work has even been featured on magazine covers. This just proves that there are artists among us and we may not even know.
