When I spoke to Los Angeles bride-to-be Maren Bumerts, the first question I asked was "How did you get your first name?" Her parents named her after an actress friend who starred in "Battlestar Galactica".

Maren gave designsgirl a series of jobs- from a custom calligraphy rubber stamp to whimsical illustrations of the lanterns- that would be hanging at the wedding reception- featured on her wedding invitation.
