Color is the lifeblood of an artist's world, whether it is a painter, graphic designer or any number of the vast variations of the creative trade.
So when I attended painter Jill Berry's class entitled, "Color Your World" through the Colorado Calligraphers Guild, I was excited to learn from her.
The property of paint is an important piece of knowledge; playing with paints and seeing the iridescence of an "interference" paint magically appear on the paper or seeing the gorgeous spectrum of colors that can be created with only two paint colors is a pure joy.
Somehow between childhood and adulthood, we lose the complete immersion into an activity, where we forget the world around us and lose ourselves in play.
With Jill, fifteen artists and calligraphers did get lost in paint play and we left with a feeling of joy and paint splatters on our faces.
